Why choose residential training...

Residential dog training, also known as board and train or in-home dog training, offers several benefits for both dogs and their owners. Here are some of the key advantages:

  1. Professional Expertise: With years of training experienced and qualifications I understand canine behaviour and training techniques. I can address specific issues and create customised training plans tailored to you and your dog's needs.

  2. Consistent Training: Dogs receive concentrated, consistent training over a period of time, typically ranging from 2 to 4 weeks. My focused training can lead to stronger and more effective results compared to sporadic training sessions.

  3. Socialisation: With my  residential training program I am able expose your dog to various environments, people, and other dogs in a controlled environment, promoting socialisation skills. This helps reduce fear, aggression, or anxiety in new situations.

  4. Consistency: I am able to maintain a consistent training routine and reinforce desired behaviors, which can be challenging for owners to achieve on their own due to busy schedules or inconsistent training methods.

  5. Behaviour Modification: Residential training is particularly effective for addressing behavior problems such as aggression, separation anxiety, excessive barking, or destructive tendencies. I am able to work closely with your dog to modify these behaviours.

  6. Time Efficiency: Owners save time and effort by entrusting their dogs to professional trainers like myself, allowing them to focus on other aspects of their lives while their pet receives dedicated training.

  7. Improved Communication: Trained dogs often have better communication with their owners, making them easier to handle and enjoy as companions. This improved understanding can strengthen the human-dog bond.

  8. Long-Term Success: Dogs that undergo residential training tend to retain their new behaviors and skills more effectively, reducing the likelihood of regression.

  9. Convenience: Some owners prefer not to deal with the day-to-day training process and find it more convenient to have their dog trained by professionals such as myself.

  10. Peace of Mind: Knowing that your dog is in capable hands and receiving quality training can provide peace of mind for owners worried about their pet's behavior or safety.

Consultation

While residential dog training can offer numerous benefits, it's essential for owners to stay involved in the process and continue reinforcement and training once their dog returns home to maintain the progress achieved during the program. This is reinforced by an active consultation at the end of the residential session with you to ensure future training is clear and manageable, meaning the results will last longer.
